India Shipping Summit 2007

The 2006 summit drew a record attendance of 587 participants. This included representatives from the highest echelons of government and the domestic and international maritime industry. An event not to be missed for those with ambitions for their company in India.

Participants flew in from 30 countries situated in areas such as Europe, the Middle East and North America. Almost a third of all delegates came from outside India.

The Summit was officially opened by A.K. Mohapatra, Shipping Secretary, Government of India, with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp. Key participants included Yudhishthir Khatau, President of the Indian National Shipowners Association and MD of Varun Shipping; Sabyasachi Hajara, Chairman and MD of Shipping Corporation of India; H.K. Mittal, Chairman of Mercator Lines; and Tokinao Hojo, Deputy Chairman of Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL); plus the respective heads of almost all of India’s shipyards.

Early Bird rate for international delegates is Euro 1270 and for local delegate Euro 350 before 28 August.

Full rate for international delegates is Euro 1400 and for local delegates Euro 410 after 28 August.
