Muhammad Tahir Lakhani is the Managing Partner/Director of Dubai Trading Agency.

Tahir has been a major player in the ship recycling business for near on 25 years and has established himself as one of the leading cash buyers in the world. Tahir's group of companies based in Dubai, UK, India and Singapore have acquired and sold over 1,400 vessels since the early 80's.

In the 1990's one company in the group, Five Star General Trading was the largest "cash buyer" in the world, by tonnage, buying mainly VLCCs and ULCC's.

Dubai Trading has a proud track record, combining years of experience, competitive prices with a real focus on health/safety and environmental concerns.

In addition to the recycling aspect to its business, Dubai Trading Agency also runs a professional ship management service.
