Peter’s practice covers all aspects of shipping and trade in China including shipbuilding and related finance. He has been based in Asia for 30 years and for the past fifteen years in China.
Peter has witnessed the growth of the shipbuilding sector in China and has advised a number of lenders on pre and post delivery finance for Chinese newbuildings. He has acted for many owners in connection with their newbuildings and sale and purchase in China. Peter’s practice on the non-contentious side also covers inward investment and assisting companies to set up in China.
Peter is qualified in England & Wales, Hong Kong and Australia. He is a Visiting Professor of Dalian Maritime University and an Arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators in London.
Peter has, in 2007, been recognised by the Asia Law & Practice survey as a Leading Lawyer in Asia in the fields of Shipping, Maritime and Aviation. This is the third consecutive year that Peter has won the award.
