Paul Jennings has over 25 years experience in marine insurance, and as Joint Managing Director of both North of England P&I Association Limited and North Insurance Management Limited, he has joint responsibility for the successful operation of North of England P&I (North) and its various associated companies. North is “A” rated by Standard & Poor’s, and is one of the largest members of the International Group of P&I Clubs, with a total entered membership of some 4,000 ships of over 110M gross tonnes. North insures over 10% of the world P&I market operating from its headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, with offices in Hong Kong, Greece and Singapore, with a global staff of over 200. Paul obtained his LLB in 1984, and spent many years managing marine claims, before becoming North’s Underwriting Director in 1998, and subsequently Joint Managing Director in 2009.
