Ringbakken is holds a Masters degree in Law from the University of Oslo and is qualified as an attorney in Norway. He is responsible for DNK’s insurance activities, underwriting, claims and emergency response. Ringbakken has worked in international shipping since 1991 with particular emphasis on regulatory processes in the IMO, US and the EU and national and international legislation affecting shipping. Before joining DNK Ringbakken worked as General Counsel and Deputy MD at INTERTANKO based in Oslo, London and Washington DC.
