Carl E. Steen has worked with Nordea Bank (formerly Christiania Bank) since 1983. He heads a Division which is the world’s leading arranger of loans to the Shipping and Offshore Industries.
Nordea is the largest financial services group in the Nordic region.
Prior to his work in the bank sector, he held various positions as a Consultant at Shipping Research Services, CEO of a Wall Paper Production and as Director of the Norwegian shipping company I.M. Skaugen. In addition to his present position as Head of Nordea’s Shipping, Oil Services & International Division, he is also a Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Eksportfinans and a Board member of Bertel O. Steen. Carl E Steen obtained his education at E.T.H. Zürich, Switzerland and holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering.
