Shipowners Forum 2012

Plan now to be part of the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum, the opening keynote of Posidonia 2012, in the Metropolitan Expo Centre on 5 June 2012.

In the spirit of Vox Pop, the views of TradeWinds readers will be canvased via a on-line poll as to the most pressing issues in shipping.  Leading industry voices will then be invited to outline the challenges and present opportunities and solutions.

Coinciding with the publication of TradeWinds biennial Power 100 List, the Forum will also draw on the current power brokers in shipping and seek to discover the strategies that have kept their businesses thriving during the current market volatility.

“An important feature of this year’s Posidonia is the newly launched conference and seminar programme, which will provide insight into the future of the maritime industry. We are happy to announce that TradeWinds/NHST Events will be organising the first conference of Posidonia week, which will tackle the important issues currently affecting the industry and we are certain that the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum will be a must-attend event for everyone involved in the shipping industry.
Theodore Vokos, Project Manager of Posidonia

“Posidonia is always a great celebration of shipping, but this year in particular everyone will be eager to learn how to survive and prosper in such tough times. TradeWinds and NHST Events plan to add to that debate with the insight and style the industry knows we can deliver. As the old saying goes ‘wealth is made in booms, fortunes are created in busts’. It’s clearly now time to find out how.”
Julian Bray, TradeWinds Editor-in-Chief

“We are delighted to be working so closely with Posidonia this year. The TradeWinds Shipowners Forum will set the intellectual agenda for the entire week and attendees can expect a stimulating and inspiring start to Posidonia.
Jon Chaplin, NHST Events Managing Director

The TradeWinds Shipowners Forum is initially sponsored by classification society ABS and Chinese shipbuilder China Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group.
